Super Saturday Shows

The show this past Saturday went great! It was a small church show and their first ever. It was well organized and wow did the customers love my stuff. I was approached by four people and asked to do their shows! I never got a rest which is how I wanted it to be. Here is a picture of the set-up.

A big thank you to all who purchased from me and those who will be purchasing custom items! Don't forget to use your 10% off customer appreciation code at my Etsy shop!

This Saturday April 16, 2011 from 10 am - 4 pm I will be at Mars High School for their annual Art and Craft Show to support the girls softball team. I will be giving a 10% off  coupon that can be used in my Etsy store if you make a purchase at the show. Come out and see me!

What do you think of the setup?

The People We Touch...

I was reminded today about the fact that our items that we make "land" in someone else's life. Do we always think about that? I know I don't and was glad to be reminded. I had someone buy one of my pedestals today as a housewarming gift for a friend who found the courage to leave an abusive situation and start over ( with two young children).
She reminded me that praying while making my items may help to bring healing to a person who desperately needs it. I will be doing that from now on. After briefly hearing this story that brought tears to my eyes, I realized my self-centeredness on wanting to "sell" my items. While it is important to sell (gotta pay the bills) I also want my work to be a labor of love. In that spirit I will be donating 10% off all of my online sales for the month of April to the two charities I have linked to at the bottom of this post. I have been through hard times and I know what it is like to struggle. I was reminded today of the life I left behind! I live a very blessed life today and just needed to pass the reminder on to all of us who love what we do! You never know who's life you may be blessing! Here are just a few shops on Etsy who support survivors of domestic abuse in some way or another. Thank You!
